Georgy Catoire

Georgy Lvovich Catoire (Moscow 27 April 1861 – 21 May 1926) was a Russian composer of French heritage. Unfortunately, he was never really supported in his choice of career in composition by his family and friends. He nearly gave up composing but ended up writing about 30 works. His 2nd violin sonata is a forgotten work that deserve to be played on the world’s biggest stages.
